Database and Design Discussions

We have begun once again to discuss some design issues with Kardia, mainly the database model. If you have experience in this area, we would love to get your opinion. You can join our mailing lists by going to the Mailing Lists link at the top.

Walkthrough Installation

Jonathan Rupp has created a VERY helpful document that can walk you through the complicated process of installing Centrallix, Sybase, and Kardia on a Linux box. If you want to try out Kardia or help with the project, we recommend getting a local copy working, and this is an excellent place to start. Click here to view the document.

ICCM 2002

Kardia and Centrallix have already had a warm welcome at ICCM 2002 with many people interested in both of these projects. On Monday, June 3, we will be presenting both projects during one of the tech sessions. In anticipation for this, this page has been updated with new screenshots that are more up-to-date.

Web Site Started
April 5, 2002
In preparation for our presentation at ICCM 2002, we have developed this web site to present information and provide the project for further investigation by those intersted. Please look around and contact us if you have any questions or would like to become involved.

Development Started at Taylor
February 2, 2002
Taylor University has started a class called "Open Source Software Development". In this class, five students are actively working on the Kardia and Centrallix projects. The goal is to create a workable demo ready for presentation at ICCM 2002. Great progress is being made, and so far the class has been a huge success.
